FAQs

Simply put, herbalism is the study and practice of plants medicinal and therapeutic properties. Plants have been used as medicine for well over 5,000 years with the first recordings found in Ancient Chinese and Egyptian writing around 3,000 BC.

A tincture is the liquid extract of a medicinal plant that can be made from the root, bark, berries, flower, or leaves depending on the specific plant. The most common extract is done with pure grain alcohol but glycerine or water can also be used. Tinctures are a great way to get a potent dose of herbs. Jaci may utilize single herbs or compounded herbal formulas for you to get the best results.
Fun fact: Alcohol-based tinctures contain less alcohol than a ripe banana

I bet you’ve seen a lot going around on TikTok and Instagram about x herb is great for x symptom. While those might be true when using herbs it’s best to look at the big picture. For example, I may have a client with anxiety with body tension. While Chamomile can help settle the nervous system, Skullcap would be a better-suited choice because it specifically helps ease body tension and anxiety while restoring the nervous system with longterm use. Each herb provides us with it's general uses along with its specific uses. This is why our consultations include a deep overview of each body function and you are encouraged to share every detail big or small because there may be 1 tiny factor that doesn't seem large to you but can make the biggest difference in your response to a formula.

This all depends on the individuals goals and body. For long-term or chronic conditions, we typically ask our clients to complete a full 6 weeks of their tincture or tea regimen before seeing full results, though you may notice subtle changes earlier. Acute conditions such as colds, flus, UTI’s, etc. those formulas are created for immediate support and you can expect to see results within a couple of days.
During long-term support goals Jaci will take the severity of symptoms, among other things, into account and will create a well-balanced formula for immediate and long term support when needed.
